Before the eigth Sunday of the 2020 NFL regular season kicks off, let’s have some fun by taking a look at the spreads for the Week 8 games. You can CLICK HERE for straight up NFL picks without regard to the spread. You can find all of the NFL betting lines via DraftKings.
My overall record so far is 54-49-2 after going 6-7-1 last week. The BGN community is one game behind at 53-50-2.
Here are suggestions when trying to beat the odds.
NFL WEEK 8 GAMES
MINNESOTA VIKINGS at GREEN BAY PACKERS (-6): The Kirk Cousins litmus test tells us that the Vikings are going to lose this game since the Packers are a good team. Aaron Rodgers getting back on track last week should instill confidence in him playing well here. PICK: Packers -6

TENNESSEE TITANS (-6.5) at CINCINNATI BENGALS: Cincy’s poor run defense concerns me going up against Derrick Henry but the Bengals have recently been looking scrappy with Joe Burrow at the helm. The Titans, meanwhile, typically end up in close games as opposed to blowing teams out. I’ll take the points. PICK: Bengals +6.5

Which bet do you like more?
PITTSBURGH STEELERS at BALTIMORE RAVENS (-4): This line is curious to me because I’m of the belief that Pittsburgh should be favored. The Ravens’ offense just hasn’t looked quite right this season. It’ll be hard for them to fix things against arguably the NFL’s top defense. The points are the no brainer pick for me since I like the Steelers to win this game outright. PICK: Steelers +4
Poll
Which bet do you like more?
LOS ANGELES RAMS (-3) at MIAMI DOLPHINS: The Rams’ defense is looking pretty good. Tua Tagovailoa is too much of a wild card factor here in his first NFL start. Sticking with the favorites. PICK: Rams -3
Poll
Which bet do you like more?
LAS VEGAS RAIDERS at CLEVELAND BROWNS (-1.5): Baker Mayfield was scintillating after a slow start in the first quarter last week. Not a lock that that carries over this week but the Raiders’ defense is plenty bad enough for it to be possible. PICK: Browns -1.5
Poll
Which bet do you like more?
NEW YORK JETS at KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (-20): The Le’Veon Bell Revenge Game is nigh. It’s a lot of points but the Chiefs have the kind of scoring ability to make it happen. PICK: Chiefs -20
Poll
Which bet do you like more?
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS at BUFFALO BILLS (-4): Cam Newton is looking so awful right now. It’s hard for me to put faith in him. Not that Josh Allen is looking much better. But the Bills are going to be hungry to prove that the AFC East is their division now. PICK: Bills -4
Poll
Which bet do you like more?
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS at DETROIT LIONS (-3): Wins over Jacksonville and Atlanta don’t exactly have me sold on the Lions. Philip Rivers had a good game heading into the bye and maybe he can turn out another one here. Besides, give me Frank Reich over Matt Patricia any day of the week. PICK: Colts +3
Poll
Which bet do you like more?
LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (-3.5) at DENVER BRONCOS: Doubt Justin Herbert at your own peril; the kid is a stud. Can’t say the same for Drew Lock, who has yet to prove he’s a viable starting quarterback in the NFL. PICK: Chargers -3.5
Poll
Which bet do you like more?
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (-5) at CHICAGO BEARS: Nick Foles has been pretty cold since taking over as the Bears’ full-time starter. He’s due for a hot game at some point, though ... right? Maybe that’s this one. The Saints haven’t been so impressive that they will definitely cover this spread. PICK: Bears +5
Poll
Which bet do you like more?
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (-2.5): Russell Wilson isn’t going to have two bad games in a row. He’s too good for that to happen. PICK: Seahawks -2.5
Poll
Which bet do you like more?
DALLAS COWBOYS at PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (-10.5): The Eagles should be able to put up plenty of points against the NFL’s worst defense. The Eagles should also be able to force rookie Ben DiNucci into some turnovers. Hard to bet on Dallas to cover when they’ve shown no fight and have looked all-around awful since Dak Prescott got hurt. PICK: Eagles -10.5

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (-12.5) at NEW YORK GIANTS: Daniel Jones is a turnover machine and he’s about to face a tough Tampa defense that ranks tied for the second most interceptions. Not exactly a recipe for success for the Giants. The Bucs are hitting their stride and they’ll continue to roll here. PICK: Buccaneers -12.5
