Before the seventh Sunday of the 2020 NFL regular season kicks off, let’s have some fun by taking a look at the spreads for the Week 7 games. You can CLICK HERE for straight up NFL picks without regard to the spread. You can find all of the NFL betting lines via DraftKings.
My overall record so far is 48-42-1 after going 7-7 last week. The BGN community is one game behind at 47-43-1.
Here are suggestions when trying to beat the odds.
NFL WEEK 7 GAMES
BUFFALO BILLS (-10) at NEW YORK JETS: Josh Allen has struggled in his last two games but c’mon. How could you possibly take the Jets? They’re a disaster. PICK: Bills -10

GREEN BAY PACKERS (-3) at HOUSTON TEXANS: Aaron Rodgers is coming off a bad game against a very good Bucs defense. Houston’s defense is a slight downgrade at No. 27 in DVOA and 27th in opponent yards per play. Rodgers should get back on track in this one. PICK: Packers -3

PITTSBURGH STEELERS at TENNESSEE TITANS (-1): Both of these teams warrant more respect than they were getting heading into the season. No frauds here. Both very legit. Should be a good game. Ultimately, I like the Steelers’ No. 1 DVOA run defense to stop Derrick Henry and make life tougher on Ryan Tannehill. Pittsburgh wins outright to move to 6-0. PICK: Steelers +1
Poll

CAROLINA PANTHERS at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (-6.5): The Panthers are always a tough pick for me because I really like Matt Rhule but I don’t trust Teddy Bridgewater much. But the Saints haven’t looked dominant enough to assume this is an easy cover for them. New Orleans fails to cover in a win. PICK: Panthers +6.5
Poll

CLEVELAND BROWNS (-3) at CINCINNATI BENGALS: Ugly loss for the Browns last week but that was going up against the NFL’s top run defense. Cleveland will bounce back against a Cincy defense that’s allowing the second most yards per rush attempt this season. PICK: Browns -3
Poll
Which bet do you like more?
DALLAS COWBOYS at WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM (-1): The Cowboys’ offensive line is in terrible shape. Washington’s defensive line is one of very few positives about their team. Chase Young is going to make life miserable for Andy Dalton. And for as much as Kyle Allen isn’t any good, even he will be able to put up points against the NFL’s worst scoring defense.

DETROIT LIONS at ATLANTA FALCONS (-1): The Lions beating the Jags coming off their bye last week hardly signals Detroit is “back” or anything. Matt Patricia is still skating on thin ice and it could very well break with a bad loss to the Falcons. Dan Quinn isn’t around to mess things up for Atlanta. PICK: Falcons -1
Poll
Which bet do you like more?
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (-4) at LAS VEGAS RAIDERS: Jon Gruden had the Raiders rise to occasion with unexpected wins over NO and KC. You can bet he’s been waiting to get revenge on the team that last fired him. LV has enough on offense to give the Bucs a run for their money. PICK: Raiders +4
Poll
Which bet do you like more?
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (-7) at DENVER BRONCOS: The Chiefs have looked shaky in their division games so far this season but that won’t continue here. Le’Veon Bell gives KC another new weapon on offense. Counting on Drew Lock to outpace Patrick Mahomes is incredibly foolish. The Broncos didn’t even score a touchdown in their win last week. PICK: Chiefs -7
Poll
Which bet do you like more?
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS at LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (-7.5): Hm, big line. I do really like the Chargers to win this game. They’re returning from a bye and Justin Herbert looks pretty promising early on. He’s finally due for his first career victory after coming close a couple times this year. Gardner Minshew, meanwhile, is reportedly in danger of being benched ... for Mike Glennon. Give me the Bolts. PICK: Chargers -7.5

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (-2.5): Tough game because it’s hard to really know what to make of these teams. The Pats lost last week despite not allowing a touchdown. The 49ers got blown out by Miami only to respond with a quality win over LAR. I guess I don’t truly buy SF’s bounce back. No Jimmy G revenge game here. PICK: Patriots -2.5
Poll
Which bet do you like more?
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (-3.5) at ARIZONA CARDINALS: Rest disparity here with the Seahawks coming off a bye and the Cards coming off Monday Night Football. Russell Wilson is playing so well right now that it’s hard to bet against him. Kyler Murray has done some things but his arm is not a reliable weapon right now. Dude only completed nine passes last week! Missed so many easy throws. Won’t be able to get away with that against the 2020 NFL MVP so far. PICK: Seahawks -3.5

CHICAGO BEARS at LOS ANGELES RAMS (-6): Lol, why? I know the Bears aren’t quite as good as their record indicates but the Rams have only beaten the NFC East. Doubt Nick Foles at your own peril. Unless BDN totally implodes, which can’t be ruled out, the Bears should at least cover here. PICK: Bears +6
