The seventh Sunday of the 2020 NFL regular season is here and that means it’s time to run through a Philadelphia Eagles-focused rooting guide for all of the Week 7 games.

The Eagles are first in the NFC East after beating the New York Giants on Thursday evening. So, we’ll mainly be focusing on how the Birds can make the playoffs.

NFC EAST GAMES

DALLAS COWBOYS at WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM: The Cowboys will advance to 3-4 and take the division lead with a win. A victory might also serve as a confidence boost heading into next week’s game in Philly. Best to see Dallas lose this one. Also doubly good to see Washington hurt their draft position. Root for the Football Team.

NFC GAMES

Holding out hope for a wild card spot is pretty futile; Philly has just a 0.2% chance of winning one, per Football Outsiders. But we’ll discuss the best way to keep those slim odds alive anyway.

CAROLINA PANTHERS at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS: The Eagles have a better chance at getting ahead of the Panthers than the Saints. The Eagles also play the Saints later this season. Beating New Orleans when they’re as good as possible would help to increase Philly’s strength of victory tiebreaker, which probably isn't too relevant, but every little bit helps. Root for the Saints.

GREEN BAY PACKERS at HOUSTON TEXANS: Better from an Eagles playoff perspective for the Texans to win. But better from a draft position perspective for the Texans to ultimately have a worse record than NYG and WFT. With a wild card berth being unlikely anyway, go Pack go. Root for the Packers.

DETROIT LIONS at ATLANTA FALCONS: Better from an Eagles playoff perspective for the Falcons to win. But better from a draft position perspective for the Falcons to ultimately have a worse record than NYG and WFT. Root for the Lions.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS at LAS VEGAS RAIDERS: AFC team over the NFC team. Root for the Raiders.

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS: AFC team over the NFC team. Although the 49ers winning only continues to boost the Eagles’ strength of victory. Root for the Patriots.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS at ARIZONA CARDINALS: The Cardinals losing better helps the Eagles’ chances of making the playoffs. Root for the Seahawks.

CHICAGO BEARS at LOS ANGELES RAMS: Better for the Bears to hold on to the NFC North lead since they’re not even as good as their record indicates. Plus you’ll obviously be cheering for Nick Foles anyway. Root for the Bears.

WHAT’S LEFT

PITTSBURGH STEELERS at TENNESSEE TITANS: Winner of this game will be the No. 1 seed in the AFC after Week 7. Doesn’t really matter from an Eagles perspective. Should be a good game. Take your pick.

BUFFALO BILLS at NEW YORK JETS: Best for the Jets to hold on to the No. 1 pick so that NYG or WFT doesn’t get it instead. Root for the Bills.

CLEVELAND BROWNS at CINCINNATI BENGALS: The Bengals have the better chance of finishing ahead of NYG and WFT in the draft order. Also the Browns being as good as possible and the Eagles beating them would improve Philly’s strength of victory. Root for the Browns.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS at LOS ANGELES CHARGERS: The Jags obviously have the bigger need at quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft. So, better for them to get ahead of NYG and WFT in the draft order. Root for the Chargers.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS at DENVER BRONCOS: Better to see the Broncos have a chance at finishing above NYG and WFT in the draft order. Root for the Chiefs.
