The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their 2020 NFL Week 6 game against the Baltimore Ravens.
The following seven Eagles players have been ruled INACTIVE: DeSean Jackson, Alshon Jeffery, Lane Johnson, Avonte Maddox, Duke Riley, Marcus Epps, and Nate Sudfeld.
The first six players on that list were all officially ruled out on Friday’s injury report. The last player is the only healthy scratch.
Jeffery and Jackson being out means the Eagles will likely start Travis Fulgham (the GOAT) and John Hightower on the outside with Greg Ward working in the slot. J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and Quez Watkins could see some rotational playing time.
Johnson being out means the Eagles will start rookie fourth-round pick Jack Driscoll at right tackle.
Maddox being out means the Eagles will continue to start Jalen Mills at cornerback instead of safety. Darius Slay is playing, as expected, despite being questionable on the final injury report. Craig James is the top backup corner on the outside.
Riley being out means the Eagles are down to four healthy linebackers — Nathan Gerry, Alex Singleton, Shaun Bradley, and Davion Taylor — against a Ravens offense that uses a lot of 12 and 22 personnel.
Epps being out means Will Parks, who was activated from injured reserve, will start at safety. Epps would’ve likely been replaced by Parks even if he wasn’t hurt.
Sudfeld was Carson Wentz’s backup in Week 1 but has since been inactive as the third string quarterback. Not sure why the Eagles need him on the roster while also keeping Josh McCown (virtually) on the practice squad. Jalen Hurts will once again be the No. 2.
Jamon Brown is making his first start for the Eagles at right guard with Matt Pryor going on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Hakeem Butler is active for the first time since joining the Eagles. Same goes for Brett Toth, who is one of three backup offensive linemen for this game. It’s Toth, Sua Opeta, and Luke Juriga behind the five starters. Yikes.
Jason Huntley is active for the third time this season.
