The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their 2020 NFL Week 5 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The following seven Eagles players have been ruled INACTIVE: Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson, Avonte Maddox, Jason Huntley Hakeem Butler, Nate Sudfeld, and Casey Toohill.
Jeffery and Jackson were ruled out on the final injury report. Their absences leave the Eagles with five healthy receivers: John Hightower, Greg Ward, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Travis Fulgham, and Quez Watkins. It’ll be interesting to see how the playing time is split up with this group. Watkins is active for his first NFL game.
Maddox was ruled out on the final injury report. His absence leaves the Eagles with the following cornerbacks: Darius Slay, Jalen Mills (assuming he’s playing outside and not going back to safety), Craig James, Cre’Von LeBlanc, and Nickell Robey-Coleman. James is active for the first time since Week 1.
Huntley, Butler, Sudfeld, and Toohill are all healthy scratches.
Jason Croom is active for his first game with the Eagles after being elevated from the practice squad. He’s the third tight end between Zach Ertz and Richard Rodgers.
Practice squad safety Elijah Riley is active for his first NFL game after being elevated from the practice squad.
