FINALLY: FOOTBALL IS BACK! For real this time. No more BS preseason games. We’re talking about the real deal.
The National Football League’s 100th season kicks off tonight with a classic NFC North rivalry matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears. The Bears won the division last year but they lost defensive coordinator Vic Fangio in the offseason. The Packers are looking to bounce back with Matt LaFleur replacing Mike McCarthy as head coach.
The Philadelphia Eagles will be facing both of these teams in 2019. They play the Packers in three weeks from tonight on Thursday Night Football at Lambeau Field. The Bears will come to Lincoln Financial Field to play the Eagles in Week 9.
As far as a rooting interest goes, I’d say it’s in the Eagles’ best interest for the Bears to win tonight. Aaron Rodgers is much more threatening than Mitchell Trubisky.
