Doug Pederson was fired up for his Eagles vs. Packers postgame speech

As he should be.

It’s been too long since we’ve seen a good Doug Pederson postgame victory speech. That problem has now been solved thanks to the Philadelphia Eagles’ big win over the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football.

“Listen, I have told you guys this before, one thing I love about you is the way you fight for 60 minutes. And you hang in there with one another. When things don’t look pretty — and it’s never a pretty win, okay? — but IT IS A WIN! Hey, listen, it took all 60 minutes and every man in this room, every man in this room to get this thing done. There is no quit in this team. It’s all about fight. It’s all about hanging together. About one play at a time. Right? We talked about this stuff this week, on a short week. I’m so proud of this group, men. So proud of this group. And we needed this [win]. We needed this, for a lot of reasons. One, to get to 2-2. Let’s not kid ourselves. BUT — we’re 1-0 this week! 1-0 this week. Hey, men, I’m so happy for every single one of you.”

The Eagles becoming the first team to EVER beat Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau Field when he had a 10-point lead just speaks to this group’s resiliency. Players fighting hard for their head coach has been a hallmark of Pederson’s tenure.

Of course, it’d be nice if the Eagles found a way to not always have to come from behind. Still, you just can’t count this team out.
