ORIGINAL STORY BELOW.
Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Avonte Maddox offered an encouraging update on his status this morning following the huge hit he took to the head that ultimately caused him to be hospitalized in Green Bay.
Everything is going well. Appreciate the prayers and get well wishes. God is good.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport added some more context:
#Eagles CB Avonte Maddox, who had movement in all his extremities late last night after a friendly fire hit from teammate Andrew Sendejo, flew home with the team last night. He was sent to a local hospital, but was discharged quickly enough to return to Philly. A good sign.

Great to see Maddox is doing okay.
It was pretty scary to watch him laying motionless on the ground after getting hit by Andrew Sendejo. The entire Eagles’ sideline came out to the field to see him get stretchered off.
Maddox’s Eagles teammates also showed a lot of support for him after they defeated the Packers:
Father God cover my lil brudda @2live_AM from head to toe and pray everything gone be Ight

We’ll hear more about Maddox from Doug Pederson during the head coach’s day-after press conference starting at 12:00 noon.
The Eagles have 10 days until they play their next game, a home matchup versus the New York Jets. The players can now take advantage of some much-needed rest before suiting up for such a brutal sport once again.
