Philadelphia Eagles fan confidence was super high heading into the 2019 NFL season but a 1-2 start has understandably caused concern. The Eagles’ latest loss to the Detroit Lions dropped fan confidence from 77% all the way down to 39%. Only 12 NFL teams checked in with a lower confidence rating.
Confidence in the Eagles will fall even further if the Eagles drop to 1-3 with a loss on Thursday Night Football. A win over the Green Bay Packers, however, could have Eagles fans rightfully regaining faith in their team. (So, here’s to it.)
One might be a little surprised to see the Packers only have a 77% fan confidence rating despite being 3-0. That could be because Matt LaFleuer and the Packers offense haven’t been so impressive thus far; Green Bay is only averaging 19.3 points scored per game.
Perhaps the Eagles can take advantage of the flaws that are causing some Packers fans to feel a little uneasy.
Elsewhere in the NFC East, Cowboys fan confidence actually dropped by 1%. Probably due to Dallas getting off to a slow start against the Dolphins in Week 3. Still pretty high at 95% overall.
The Giants experienced a big boost in fan confidence with Daniel Jones playing well in his first NFL start. Only 12 NFL teams have a higher confidence rating! And the Eagles clearly aren’t one of them.
Washington is tied with the Falcons for having the lowest fan confidence in the NFL at just 8%.
I like how Washington didn’t even get included as an option in this week’s national question:
