Reacting to the Eagles’ loss to the Lions

Two straight losses, two straight costly drops. Actually, more than two. Adding in all the other mistakes or drops, there are a mountain of reasons the Philadelphia Eagles find themselves 1-2 three weeks into the season.

The Eagles spent the second quarter idling after a respectable start due to a Nelson Agholor drop, a Miles Sanders fumble, and another miscue from Agholor when he forgot the ball whilst running. Later on, Mack Hollins, Dallas Goedert, and JJ Arcega-Whiteside all got in on the action.

Goedert’s drop ate two minutes off a ticking 4th quarter clock. Hollins’ robbed the Eagles of field goal range on the last drive. And of course the most talked about drop is the JJ Arcega-Whiteside fourth down blunder.

It was a mess all around and the “moral victories” are piling up along with the losses. The Eagles have very little time to right the wrongs as they’re mere days away from their match-up with the 3-0 Green Bay Packers.

On The Kist & Solak Show #123 we recap what we saw from the game while taking an overall assessment of what it all means for the 2019 NFL Season.
