For the second week in a row, the Eagles suffered a nail-biting loss at the hands (or lack-thereof) of bad plays by offensive skill players. This week, rookies were the main cause of frustration and failings when they were counted on.
Andre Dillard: N/A
Andre Dillard barely saw the field today. He was injured shortly after coming in to spell Jason Peters. There’s been no word on the extent of his knee injury just yet. Let’s hope it is not serious.
Miles Sanders: C-
Miles Sanders’ day can only be described as all over the place. On one hand, Sanders flashed as a weapon in the passing game and running game. However, Sanders also had two fumbles, one of which ended a drive and led to points for Detroit.
Sanders has been frustrating because it’s clear he’s very talented but his play is marred by what are clearly rookie mistakes. The likelihood is the team will continue to give him the ball, while the hope is that he can gain confidence and eliminate costly negative plays.

JJ Arcega-Whiteside: F
Despite two games where he’s received a ton of snaps, JJ Arcega-Whiteside has failed to make any positive impact on offense. The rookie receiver has definitely been afforded opportunities, especially today. He’s failed to capitalize on targets and today he dropped a pass that could’ve been a go-ahead touchdown.
With Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson still on the mend, Arcega-Whiteside needs to figure it out, fast. Thursday is fast approaching.
