We are now less than a week from the start of the Eagles’ 2019 regular season, and along with that comes the various celebrations the team has embraced.
Jalen Mills — who won’t even be on the field Week 1 as he continues to rehab from injury — took to Twitter on Sunday evening to remind everyone that the Eagles defense made big play celebrations popular.
FYI: 7 Days from now all the celebrating running to the end zone to get the group camera picture after a big play....Yea the Eagles started that✌️

Soon, his mentions were filled with Saints fans arguing over the fact that the New Orleans’ secondary actually started the celebrating tradition. And not long after that, Marshon Lattimore posted some not-so-subtle shade aimed in Mills’ direction.

The two teams have gone back and forth regarding celebrations, embracing the underdog moniker, and other team motivators for the past two seasons. And with both the Eagles and Saints still considered two of the top teams in the NFC, the competition was bound to spill over into 2019... I just wasn’t expecting it to start before the regular season.
