UPDATE: The Eagles won’t be getting Minkah Fitzpatrick because the Pittsburgh Steelers are sending their 2020 first-round pick to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for him. So, Jalen Ramsey or bust for Howie Roseman?
ORIGINAL STORY BELOW.
Secondary help might be on the way for the Philadelphia Eagles.
NFL insider Jason La Canfora is reporting the Miami Dolphins defensive back could be traded as soon as Tuesday, September 17. He also notes the Philadelphia Eagles are among Fitzpatrick’s potential landing spots.
Minkah Fitzpatrick trade likely to be wrapped up by tomorrow. The Dolphins expected to get 1st round value for him. Hearing WSH, DAL, KC, PIT, PHI and SEA all in the mix. Offers are being made

In addition to La Canfora’s report, the Miami-Herald’s Barry Jackson says “Philadelphia is among teams that have shown interest” in Fitzpatrick. (Hat tip to my BGN Radio co-host Jimmy Kempski.)
This is the first time we’ve actually seen the Eagles linked to Fitzpatrick via reporting. There’s previously only been speculation that the Eagles could end up trading for him. BGN’s Benjamin Solak, for example, made a compelling case for the Eagles to acquire Fitzpatrick in an article published last week.
Philadelphia’s defense could certainly use some help considering they’ve given up 680 passing yards so far, which is the second most in franchise history through two games. Fitzpatrick could contribute at cornerback and/or safety.
I guess we’ll soon see if the Eagles are the team with the highest bid for Fitzpatrick. I don’t think Philly is super eager to part with their 2020 first-round pick but Howie Roseman is aggressive so you never know.
Or maybe this week gets worse and he ends up on the Dallas Cowboys.
