We are already just one game away from the end of Week 2 of the 2019 NFL regular season, and the finale could come with it’s own set of fireworks.
Monday night’s game features the Cleveland Browns who will go against their former interim head coach and current New York Jets defensive coordinator, Gregg Williams. Both teams are 0-1, but there is more on the line than just either team’s first win.
Earlier in the week, Browns’ wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. called out Williams for telling his players to do him dirty during the 2018 preseason, which caused the wideout to suffer a couple injuries. Williams was particularly testy in his press conference following OBJ’s comments, and was sure to note that he’s never coached his players to injure opponents.
And, it wasn’t just Beckham with criticism of Williams, safety Damarious Randall said he would’ve demanded a trade if Williams ended up being hired as the head coach for 2019 — Randall won’t be able to make a statement on Monday, though, he’s out with a concussion.
Browns ruled out four for MNF vs Jets: Damarious Randall (concussion), T Kendall Lamm (knee), RB Dontrell Hilliard (concussion), LB Adarius Taylor (ankle). 4 more - WR Rashard Higgins (ankle), G Joel Bitonio (abdomen), DE Chris Smith (non injury), QB Drew Stanton (knee) - are Q.

The Philadelphia Eagles already faced the Jets in the preseason and they will meet the New York team again on October 6. The Eagles don’t, however, face the Browns during the regular season.
