Thursday Night Football: Buccaneers vs. Panthers

Week 2 of the 2019 NFL season officially kicks off tonight.

This evening’s game features an NFC South rivalry matchup between two 0-1 teams: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers.

The Philadelphia Eagles won’t be playing either of these teams this year (in the regular season, at least).

As far as a rooting interest goes, the Panthers are easily the bigger threat to the Eagles in the NFC playoff picture (Cam Newton >>>> Jameis Winston). So, a Carolina loss would be preferable here.

Then again, the Eagles DO own the Bucs’ 2020 seventh-round pick. If you care enough to root for a better late-round draft pick, you should be rooting for the Panthers to win.
