The Philadelphia Eagles don’t play the Dallas Cowboys until Week 7 this season. The game is set for October 20, which is a month and 10 days away.
Despite this, Dak Prescott’s already got his NFC East rivals on his brain. Check out this sideline clip from the Cowboys’ Week 1 win over the New York Giants.
Dak Prescott to Amari Cooper after throwing him a touchdown against the Giants: Hey, was that easier than Philly?

Amari Cooper had 217 yards and 3 touchdowns (including the game-winner) when Dallas hosted the Eagles last season.

DAK PRESCOTT: Hey, that was easier than Philly?
AMARI COOPER: Easy money, baby.

AMARI COOPER: Easy money.
The Cowboys’ offense did have a pretty easy time shredding the Giants’ awful defense to start the 2019 season. And, yes, Cooper did have a similarly easy time shredding a decimated Eagles defense that was starting an injured Sidney Jones at cornerback in Week 14 last year.
It’s a little rich that Prescott is still bragging about this, though. If you’ll recall, his struggles in last season’s matchup (two interceptions) were actually keeping the Eagles in the game. A better quarterback wouldn’t have needed overtime to win. That’s not even to mention Dallas greatly benefited from the Eagles being robbed of an obvious fumble recovery in scoring territory on the first play of the game. Or that Prescott’s game-winning touchdown pass was luckily deflected by Rasul Douglas right into Cooper’s hands somehow.
The Eagles should already be hungry to beat the Cowboys this season after going 0-2 against them last year. A little extra bulletin board material from Prescott can’t hurt their motivation, either.
