Week 1 of the preseason continues on Friday, August 9, with two more matchups. The early game is the Bucs vs. Steelers, followed by the Vikings vs. Saints.

There aren’t a ton of Eagles connections to the first game, but Beau Allen is still suiting up for Tampa Bay. And, in the second game, cornerback Patrick Robinson is making his return from IR for New Orleans.

It’ll be interesting if these teams follow the trends of Thursday’s games to hold back most of the starters. It’s way too early to be talking about how the Vikings-Saints matchup could be a preview of some postseason action, but both teams have made pushes the past couple of seasons and could be Eagles competition heading to the NFC Championship.

But, still, it’s the preseason so hopefully the games are just interesting enough to keep your attention.
