Eagles vs. Titans preseason watching guide

Philadelphia Eagles football is back!

Yeah, I know, it’s only preseason. So it’s not truly back. But I’ll take Eagles preseason football over nothing. At least until I’m wondering why the game isn’t over yet with 12 minutes remaining in the third quarter.

Anyway, the Eagles are set to play the Tennessee Titans at 7:30 PM Eastern on Thursday evening during the first week of the 2019 NFL preseason schedule.

It’s currently unclear how long Philadelphia’s starters — including Carson Wentz — will play in this game, if at all. Doug Pederson has been noncommittal about the team’s plans for playing time. If history is any indication, though, the Eagles’ first team unit will only play a drive or two ... at most.

The game’s outcome doesn’t matter but it’ll still be interesting to watch players compete for jobs on the 53-man roster. Preseason football also gives us our first glimpse of new players and rookies.
