[4:23 PM ET] - *** THE EAGLES OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE THEIR 53-PLAYER ROSTER ***
[4:06 PM ET] - The Eagles are cutting Stefen Wisniewski. Certainly notable but definitely not shocking given how he got demoted out of the backup center role. The Eagles save $1.58 million in cap space with this move.
[4:01 PM ET] - It’s after 4:00 PM ET! Where is the official announcement, Eagles?!
[3:59 PM ET] - The Eagles are reportedly cutting tight end Alex Ellis. Did some nice things this summer but it wasn’t enough. Looks like the Eagles will be keeping Josh Perkins as the third tight end ... for now, at least. Roster is unofficially down to 59. (Source: NJ.com)
[3:46 PM ET] - Non-Eagles related but the Vikings cut the punter/kicker they traded a fifth-round pick for three weeks ago. Lol. (Source: NFL Network)
[3:07 PM ET] - The Eagles are reportedly cutting Wendell Smallwood! They finally did it. Roster is unofficially down to players 60 players. (Source: NFL Network)
[3:01 PM ET] - Undrafted rookie free agent offensive lineman and Bucks County native Ryan Bates — whom the Eagles traded to the Bills in exchange for Eli Harold — is reportedly making the Bills’ 53-man roster. (Source: Peter Schrager)
[2:44 PM ET] - The Eagles are reportedly cutting playoff hero Treyvon Hester. That’s a bummer. Roster is unofficially down to 61 players. (Source: Adam Caplan)
[1:33 PM ET] - The Eagles are reportedly waiving undrafted rookie free agent offensive lineman Sua Opeta. Might be a practice squad guy. Roster is unofficially down to 62 players. (Source: NJ.com)
[1:10 PM ET] - Reuben Frank says “the Eagles would love to have Alex Singleton on the practice squad.” He also thinks Singleton will accept the offer since he’s only one linebacker injury away from being promoted to the 53. We’ll see if Singleton clears waivers. (Source: NBC Sports Philadelphia)
[12:58 PM ET] - The Eagles are reportedly waiving Boston Scott. The Eagles could try to bring him back on the practice squad. Roster is unofficially down to 63 players. (Source: NJ.com)
[12:56 PM ET] - The 49ers are reportedly cutting Jordan Matthews, which means the Eagles will no longer be receiving a 2020 fourth-round compensatory pick. They’re down to just the 2020 third-round comp pick for losing Nick Foles. UGH! Screw you, Niners. (Source: NFL Network)
[12:45 PM ET] - The Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott are reportedly “aiming to wrap up a new deal this weekend.” The Cowboys obviously need Zeke in the short-term but paying top of the market money to a running back with workload and off-field concerns is not a smart investment. (Source: ESPN)
[12:01 PM ET] - The Eagles are reportedly waiving 2018 leading rusher Josh Adams. Roster is unofficially down to 64 players. (Source: NFL Network)
[11:25 AM ET] - The Texans are reportedly trading Jadeveon Clowney to the Seahawks. He was never coming to the Eagles. (Source: Jay Glazer)
[10:27 AM ET] - NFL insider Tom Pelissero says: “The Seahawks are deep in talks to acquire franchise player Jadeveon Clowney from the Texans, sources tell me and Mike Garafolo. Clowney has told people he wants to be in Seattle. Still some hoops to jump through, but it’s headed toward him getting his wish.” So, that far-fetched dream appears to be dying. (Source: NFL Network)
[9:55 AM ET] - In some significant former Eagles news, the Bills reportedly cut LeSean McCoy. I don’t think the Eagles will end up re-signing their all-time leading rusher. But Howie Roseman reportedly has tried to bring Shady back to Philly in the past. (Source: NFL Network)
[9:24 AM ET] - Welcome to Saturday’s tracker. The Eagles’ roster officially stands at 65 players so the team needs to make 12 more moves to get down to 53. Some reading material while you wait for updates: NFL cuts primer | Cheat sheet 53-man roster prediction.
