Notorious Eagles fan, and back-to-back USWNT World Cup Champion, Carli Lloyd stopped by the NovaCare Complex on Tuesday and hung out with the team and specifically the kickers. She spent time with Jake Elliott and Ravens’ kicker Justin Tuck and showed off some impressive talent with a football.
It shouldn’t really be all that surprising that someone who is so successful at soccer would also be a pretty great field goal kicker, but just in case you needed some proof:
Thank you to the @Eagles for having me out! Thanks to @JustinTuck @jake_elliott22 @MayorRandyBrown for the good time and tips! #55yd pic.twitter.com/owZ16f46Th

Months after being on her second consecutive World Cup winning team, Lloyd nailed a 55 yarder, and pretty accurately, might I add. The uprights seen here are closer together — and thus more difficult — than the standard NFL setup.
The Eagles would be smart to keep Lloyd around — especially because she uses just about any moment she can to shout “Fly Eagles Fly” or reminisce about the Super Bowl win.

Maybe the Bears should give Carli a call? Former NFL executive Gil Brandt doesn’t think it’s a crazy idea.
Honestly, I don't think it will be long before we see a woman break through this NFL barrier. I'd give her an honest tryout if I were, say, the Bears. https://t.co/pyIlIY6Jxv
