We have officially hit the almost-preseason portion of the offseason.
The NFL Hall of Fame game is tonight, with the Denver Broncos facing the Atlanta Falcons at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
There isn’t a whole lot to be excited about, as we won’t likely get to see many (if any) starters, and will instead see a lot of backups, rookies, and bubble guys fighting for a roster spot. But it’s still football, which is better than no football — and it’s at least more interesting that the Pro Bowl game.
This year’s event won’t be quite as exciting as last year since there are no Eagles getting enshrined in this year’s Hall of Fame class. But, the new inductees include Champ Bailey, Pat Bowlen, Gil Brandt, Tony Gonzalez, Ty Law, Kevin Mawae, Ed Reed and Johnny Robinson.
If you’re looking for an Eagles connection though, former Philly cornerback De’Vante Bausby is suiting up for the Broncos, and running back Kenjon Barner for the Falcons. Defensive end Steven Means is also on Atlanta’s roster, but is on IR after suffering an Achilles injury this offseason.
Here’s everything you need to know about tonight’s game if you do plan on watching.
