The first Philadelphia Eagles training camp practice begins TOMORROW (July 25) so now is a great time to update the people you follow on Twitter. The following is a list of Eagles players, writers, etc., who you should be following heading into training camp.
With Eagles training camp being closed to the public (save for one open practice), following along on Twitter is the best way to keep track of everything in real-time: practice highlights, news, injuries, quotes, etc. (Besides staying tuned here to Bleeding Green Nation, of course.)
Disclaimer: I’m always bound to miss some people, perhaps some obvious ones. If I did, it was probably unintentional. Feel free to tweet at me to let me know who I missed. Without further delay, I present to you the 8th Annual Definitive Twitter List for Eagles Fans.
Bleeding Green Nation
Will be at training camp:
Brandon Lee Gowton - @BrandonGowton
I’ll be at Eagles training camp every single day. This is my seventh year covering it in person. I tweet live updates from practice and press conferences. I also take plenty of pictures/video along with streaming portions of practice live on BGN’s official Facebook page. Follow me: @BrandonGowton.
Bleeding Green Nation account - @BleedingGreen
Yes, the account itself will be there at training camp. Big deal!
Won’t be at training camp, but still worth following:
Follow the mothership for all of your sports news.
Alexis Chassen - @Lovelybuckeye
As always, Alexis will be helping out with news coverage in addition to press conference recaps. She’s also going to have a baby before you know it!
Michael Kist - @MichaelKistNFL
The best doggone podcast producer and host that BGN Radio has ever had. I’ll be doing daily post-practice recap pods with Kist so make sure you subscribe in order to not miss an episode!
Benjamin Solak - @BenjaminSolak
Ben was at training camp last year but he won’t be there this year so it’s totally cool to unfollow him now. Just kidding. Only trying to see if he actually ends up reading this write-up.
Dave Mangels - @Southern_Philly
Dave will be making regular contributions to the site. Follow him on Twitter for his expertise in snark (among other things). Whatever you do, don’t sit in his chair.
John is often known as a Phillies guy but he obviously contributes to our Eagles coverage as well.
We’ll be hearing from Ben with college football starting up later this summer!
Tyler has a role in running the BGN Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat (Bleeding-Green) accounts. He also makes some of the videos you see on the BGN Facebook Page. Go follow along with all that stuff!
Jim does some awesome data posts that are way too smart for any of us to actually understand. He’s also best friends with Jaws.
Matt Harkenreader - @Harkenfootball
Matt has retired from crunching the numbers but he’s still around to weigh in on Eagles/NFL stuff.
Cody Benjamin - @CodyJBenjamin
Cody has a weekly column for us during the regular season.
Lee is BGN’s fantasy football guy. He’s also been known to drop some scorching hot takes!
BGN alumni:
Patrick doesn’t really write about the Eagles anymore because he’s too busy being the famous drummer of one of the best bands from Philadelphia: Queen of Jeans. He still shares Eagles thoughts on Twitter.
He’s retired from the blog game but I made a deal with Danta Klaus that he has to write at least one post on BGN per year. He has not yet filled that quota for 2019.
We all miss Jonny’s excellent film breakdowns.
Ditto for Sean!
BGN Radio
For specific podcast focus:

Perpetually the biggest hack of all time. He’ll be at training camp.
Joe Santoliquito - @JSantoliquito
The Athletic
Sheil has moved on to a more national NFL focus but he’s still based in Philly and will still have Eagles takes.
As always, I’ll leave it up to Bo to write his own entry if he sends me one.
