What are they good at?

The Bills defense was stellar last season, especially against the pass, as they finished 2nd in passing DVOA. But some regression is due. They were just 18th in adjusted sack rate, with Jerry Hughes leading the team with 7 sacks. What made them so good was the 4th best interception rate and the best yards per catch against at 9.9 yards. But the latter is not a repeatable achievement, in the past decade only three other teams have held opponents to under 10 yards a reception: the 2014 Broncos, 2013 Seahawks, and 2009 Colts.

Why the Eagles will win

No really, have you seen Josh Allen try to play quarterback? It’s like Tim Tebow but without all the fanfare, or winning. To be fair to Allen, he had a poor supporting cast last year. But he’s going to have a poor one again this year. Their biggest signings were a center and Cole Beasely. They used the 9th overall pick on a defender. This will once again be a very bad offense.

Why the Eagles will lose

Here’s another potential trap game. The Eagles will be coming off of Sunday Night Football at Dallas. That will be one of the biggest games of the season, and they follow it up with a 1:00 road game in Buffalo. maybe the most unexciting game of the year.
