The United States women’s national soccer team is going to the 2019 World Cup Final! LET’S GOOOOOO!
The USWNT defeated England in a tough semifinal match on Tuesday, 2-1.
Things were looking a little dicey there for the US ladies. England scored an equalizer that made the game 2-2 before VAR (video assistant review) called the goal offside. England had another chance to tie things up when they were given a very generous penalty kick late in the game. Fortunately, US keeper Alyssa Naeher made the clutch save. (Ball don’t lie.)

The USWNT will now take on the winner of Wednesday’s Sweden versus Netherlands semifinal (3:00 PM ET on FOX) in the championship match on Sunday, July 7 (11:00 AM ET on FOX).
We’ll obviously be rooting on Julie Ertz (Zach Ertz’s wife), Carli Lloyd (big Eagles fan and South Jersey native) and the rest of the USWNT as they try to repeat as Women’s World Cup Champions.
Just one more win to go!
