I have some bad news and good news.

The bad news is that we’re still stuck in the NFL summer dead zone doldrums.

The good news is that there’s a big football game on at 3:00 PM Eastern today!

Not American football, of course. I’m talking about the Women’s World Cup semifinal match between the United States and England. The United States women’s national soccer team is just one win away from getting back to the championship match. The quest to repeat is still alive.

Here’s hoping the USWNT will get the job done. As previously noted, Eagles fans should especially be rooting for Julie Ertz and Carli Lloyd. (Sorry to you UK Eagles fans out there but you’re going down.)
