Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence had something to say about Carson Wentz’s lucrative new contract. Though he didn’t specifically mention the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback by name, it’s clear Lawrence was referring to Wentz when he sent out this tweet one hour after news of the multi-year extension.
The richer they get, the better it feels when we humble they a**.

Speaking of “rich,” it’s pretty funny how Lawrence has zero sacks against the Eagles despite playing Philadelphia nine times in his career. In other words, it’s actually Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson who has often humbled Lawrence.
Lawrence is obviously a very good talent. Even with zero sacks against the Eagles, he still has 25 total sacks over the past two seasons combined.
But Lawrence’s decision to give Wentz and the Eagles some extra bulletin board material might not be so wise. Philadelphia is already going to be out for revenge against the Cowboys after going 0-2 against Dallas in 2018.
It could very well be Lawrence who ends up humbled once again in 2019.
UPDATE: Lane Johnson himself weighs in.
