Jalen Mills posted an apology to the Philadelphia Eagles and their fans following his weekend arrest in Washington D.C. The message comes via his verified Instagram account:

Mills was reportedly involved in an altercation with Wizards foward Devin Robinson outside of a nightclub in the nation’s capital. The fight allegedly stemmed from Robinson feeling like Mills shouldn’t be in D.C. since he doesn’t play for a Washington team.

Mills paid a $35 fine following his arrest. There’s reportedly no court date set regarding the incident.

The Eagles previously released the following official statement:

“The Philadelphia Eagles are aware of the situation involving defensive back Jalen Mills and are continuing to gather information. No further comment will be provided at this time.”

Mills’ incident should serve as a reminder to himself and his Eagles teammates that they need to be smart when they’re away from the team. No need to jeopardize on-field success at the expense of doing something unnecessary off the field.
