We are nine days away from the 2019 NFL Draft! We’re almost there folks! In celebration of hitting single digits on the countdown, The Kist & Solak Show #91 presents you with a duel.
Benjamin Solak has solidified his big board and I’ve locked in my grades, now there’s nothing left to do for nine days except shout at each other about how wrong we are.
To give you a preview of my big board, what follows is my top 50 prospects in the 2019 NFL Draft, starting with the cream of the crop. Shout out to The Draft Network, where you can build your own big board like the one shown below.
(important note: this is a non-QB big board. Kyler Murray represents my only top 50 player at the position and has a first round grade)

I have just two “elite” grades on this class, which isn’t abnormal. Obviously those are Quinnen Williams from Alabama and Nick Bosa from Ohio State. I view both as slam dunk picks that will be productive from day one. I’m likely higher on Florida State EDGE Brian Burns than the consensus, but I like elite athletes that test like elite athletes and can get after the quarterback.
One polarizing player I’m still high on - and one that’s rumored to possibly slip in the draft - is Houston defensive tackle Ed Oliver. Obviously that’s a dream pick for the Philadelphia Eagles and a potential trade up scenario (or is it?), but those chances seem slim to none.

After that top 5 we start to get into more potential trade up targets at tackle (OT Cody Ford, Oklahoma) and a wildcard pick that could be a future Jason Kelce replacement (C Garrett Bradbury, NC State).
Here are video packages I put together for each of the top 10 players represented in the board above...
The hope is the Eagles will land a player that falls in my 11-20 range. Clemson defensive tackle Christian Wilkins is heavily mocked to the Eagles, and they’ve also shown a lot of interest in Florida safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.

After that is where my board really starts to depart from the consensus. Regardless, my personal hope is that one of the highly graded safeties slips to picks 53 and 57 if they pass on one in the first round.

There’s also the possibility of selecting Memphis running back Darrell Henderson, who just missed out on making an appearance (53rd overall) and represents a good complement to the backs already in place.
