Brett Jones- OG/C -good depth for OL

Zach Brown- solid inside LB who is a sure tackler and fast enough to cover TEs

DEPARTING:

Golden Tate- WR

TRADE:

Jalen Mills CB to JETS for Isiah Crowell and 2020 6th round pick- Cmon we all know mills sucks and is the weak link in our secondary. I think he's very expendable, I dont see howie paying mills a big future contact. Plus we're loaded at corner. Sidney Jones has way more upside than Mills and needs more playing time on the outside with Maddox in the slot. Or Maddox and Jones on the outside until Darby gets back. Crowell is a young talented RB who just received a demotion, due to the Jets acquisition of Leveon Bell. We could prob get a great deal for him, plus we got hella cbs

DRAFT: Player analysis provided by nfl.com

ROUND 1: Mack Wilson LB 6'1 240 Alabama- fast, hard hitting LB we could really use in the middle for now and the future. nfl.com says: He is today's version of an NFL linebacker with adequate size, plus strength and toughness, speed pursue and an ability to handle coverage duties on any down. Wilson is like a classically trained musician who hits his notes on time, but the question is whether or not he can play as a free-form, improvisational talent when the opportunity arises. Either way, he's a solid, three-down starter in any defensive scheme

ROUND 2: Jeffery Simmons- DT- 6'4 301 Mississippi St- top 5 talent that should drop to second round due to recent ACL injury. Great investment pick that can take a year to fully recover due to the signing of Malik Jackson. nfl.com says: Impressive physical specimen offering rare combination of strength and athleticism for future dominance in a variety of defensive schemes. Simmons involvement in a fight between two women in 2016 will surely be a cause for concern, but his avoidance of trouble while at college should help his cause. His on-field issues are self-created and largely due to a lack of instincts, but the physical tools and immense upside outweigh those concerns. Simmons has All-Pro potential and should become an early starter and star.

ROUND 2: Jachai Polite DE 6'3 260 Florida- great complement to our other DEs. This dude might be a little small but this mf can rush the shit out the quarterback. Despite being small, he still was a very productive DE in the SEC, which says a lot. His rushing moves are insane, accompanied by his speed and athleticism. True he needs to add weight but he's only a jr and will add weight with time. For now, he could come in asap and fill our 3rd DE spot. nfl.com says: Instinctive rusher with natural feel for attacking the pocket and the explosive athletic ability to finish the job. Polite's frightening speed to the edge is the foundation for his pass-rush success, but it's the potential diversity and fluidity of his attack that makes him such a compelling prospect. He has been heavier in his career and might need to add good weight in order to remove himself from the DPR (designated pass rusher) list and into a full-time role as a 3-4 outside backer. Scouts say beware of his floor, but his electrifying rush potential could be hard to pass up in today's pass-happy league.

ROUND 4: Yondy Cajuste- OT- 6'5 312- West Va- solid tackle prospect with good athletic ability and bend. nfl.com says: Well-built with physical ability to stay in front of NFL pass rushers if he continues to refine his pass sets and improve his hand usage. Cajuste has the traits and talent but doesn't play as "bendy" in his lower body as expected, which causes inconsistencies with balance in both the run and pass game. He might end up being more of a positional and stalemate blocker than drive blocker in the run game so he will need to shine in pass pro, which will take work. He has starting tackle talent with the body type for consideration inside.

ROUND 4: Connor McGovern OG 6'5 308 Penn State- solid guard with high upside. Potential to be an early starter with Brooks coming off a major injury. nfl.com says: Reliable run blocker with NFL-ready size and strength but exploitable holes in his pass sets that need to be addressed as quickly as possible. His starting experience at both center and guard could bring additional interest in McGovern, who would be a bigger, stronger option at center for teams facing odd-front power in their division. He is a good fit in gap and inside-zone run schemes, but his tendency to over-set in pass protection could be challenging to correct. He's an early starter as a Day 2 pick, but Year 1 could have ups and downs.

ROUND 5: Jordan Scarlett RB 5'11 208-very explosive rb that should be a true steal in this draft. Productive SEC runner that rarely gets tackled by the first person. nfl.com says: Physical specimen with size, strength and foot quickness that lands in the NFL sweet spot for running backs. Scarlett can be frustrating to watch as he can be hesitant in the early stages of the run, but very fluid and elusive once he makes it to the second level. He can create for himself with wiggle and power, but his vision is subpar and he offers no third down value due to his dreadful hands. He has early Day 3 traits with the potential to find NFL carries, but potential character concerns could hurt his chances. He's a wildcard from a maturity standpoint, but he's built for the league and athletic for the league so it's probably just a matter of where he ends up and how long he can stick around." - NFC Southeastern scout

ROUND 6: Jazz Ferguson WR 6'5 227- great size and speed with the potential to develop into a solid wr. nfl.com says: Former four-star recruit who began his career at LSU but took flight in his lone season at Northwestern State after transferring. Ferguson is a big target with instinctive feel for body positioning, which tilts contested catches in his favor. He's too reliant upon his physical gifts and needs more schooling and route polish, but he could find a back-end roster spot with a chance to work his way up the depth chart with time.
