Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links ...
Dawkins on Bryce: He’s another rock star - MLB.com
The Philadelphia Eagles legend arrived at Spectrum Field early Saturday morning with challenges in mind. Phillies manager Gabe Kapler invited Dawkins to speak to his players after listening to him motivate the organization’s top prospects in January at Citizens Bank Park. Dawkins spoke for about 30 minutes, like only Dawkins can speak -- enthusiastically and emotionally. He talked about responsibility, sacrifice, work ethic and being the best versions of themselves. Dawkins then reminded the Phillies that they had a parade down Broad Street in 2008, his first taste of ultimate victory in Philadelphia .“That feeling, that sense that it could happen, it started here,” Dawkins said. “Like the so-called curse was knocked off Philadelphia. It started here. Understand that. But in order to get what you’ve never got, you’ve got to do what you’ve never done.” “We were all ready to run through the brick wall,” Rhys Hoskins said.

Brian Dawkins on his favorite thing about Bryce Harper - emotion: “It’s one of the things that draws people to him. He plays with emotion. Some people don’t like it. It’s one of those things in baseball you’re not supposed to do. But Bryce challenges that.” pic.twitter.com/DVhA8wU2eS

2019 NFL Mock Draft Roundup: Josh Jacobs and Christian Wilkins among most popular Eagles picks - BGN
The 2019 NFL Draft will be here before you know it. Mock draft season has already begun and there’s no shortage of opinion as to whom the Philadelphia Eagles might select with the No. 25 overall pick. Let’s take a look at which players the experts have the Eagles taking this week now that the NFL Combine is over and free agency rumors have begun.

Mailbag: Which players could be trade-up options for the Eagles in the 2019 NFL Draft? - PhillyVoce
As mentioned above, I think Ed Oliver is a highly talented player at a position of need. And then I think that if guys like Clemson DT Christian Wilkins, Clemson DE Clelin Ferrell, or even Oklahoma blazing WR Marquise Brown were to fall, they would all be players who could turn the Eagles into aggressors in this draft.
Let’s Talk Antonio Brown - Iggles Blitz
I’m sure the Eagles are curious about Brown. Any time a potential Hall of Fame player becomes available, you’d be dumb not to give a move serious consideration. Then again, why is a HOF player available? That tells you there are issues. NFL teams don’t get rid of elite talent for the heck of it.
Philadelphia Eagles 2018 Season Recap - PFF
While QB Carson Wentz took a step back from 2017 with his 79.4 overall grade, he still ranked 14th among NFL quarterbacks. Nick Foles filled in admirably during the playoff run with a 73.8 overall grade.
Scouting combine sleepers who should be on Eagles radar - Morning Call
Massachusetts WR Andy Isabella: Let’s get the negatives out of the way first for this prospect: He’s small (5-8, 188), susceptible to being knocked around by defenders and not a very good blocker (though more than willing). Now let’s get to what he did in Indianapolis to raise his stock: He ran a blazing 40-yard dash in 4.31 seconds. His times in the three-cone drill (6.95) and 20-yard shuttle (4.15) were equally impressive. He even managed 15 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press — certainly not a terrible number for a wide receiver. Isabella also was considered to be a smart and precise route runner long before arriving at the combine. That means he can be a short-space threat as well as someone who commands defensive help over the top with his ability to get behind defenders.
Five big-name free agent predictions that will have an impact on the Dallas Cowboys - Blogging The Boys
But the Eagles will keep looking for impact players at an affordable rate. With Jay Ajayi departing in free agency, the Eagles could replenish his services by adding reliable veteran running back Mark Ingram. Philadelphia likes to use an assortment of rushers for their ground attack and Ingram should be used to that. However, unlike his time in New Orleans, Ingram would be able to emerge as the lead back in Philly. Let’s hope Ingram lands on another run-heavy team like the Baltimore Ravens, but honestly - any team that is not the Eagles will be fine by me. But even if they miss out on Ingram, they could still go after free agent Tevin Coleman.
NFL Draft QB rankings - Rotoworld
Stick won three FCS titles at NDSU, the colossus of the sub-division that gave us Carson Wentz. Forget Carson Wentz. Stick is nothing like him as a prospect. Stick is a fabulous athlete — slower by a tic than Taysom Hill with less explosion, but with superior agility — who is a weapon in the open field. This part of his game doesn’t get discussed enough, I think, because evaluators who dismiss him because of the height/arm strength thing or the Shrine week don’t get far enough along in their thought process to bake it in to what it could mean in the NFL. Also, because Stick is #white. But good golly is he dangerous. Difficult to wrap up in the backfield, difficult to corral when he gets moving downfield, and, heck, difficult to catch from behind. You can’t dismiss Stick’s deep-sector touch as a context-based fluke, because Stick’s skillset itself is in part informing that context: On RPOs, for instance, linebackers and safeties need to be extremely cognizant of the fact that Stick could tuck and rip off a 25-yard run in three seconds.
Update: Chiefs sign Carlos Hyde to one-year deal worth $2.8 million - Arrowhead Prde
The Chiefs currently have only two running backs—Damien Williams and Darrel Williams on their roster, with Spencer Ware set to potentially make more money than many of us probably expected on the open market. Hyde is a veteran who has been both a starter and backup before, and he has two 900-plus-yards seasons under his belt (2016 and 2017).
Antonio Brown traded to the Raiders. This time it’s for real - SB Nation
Antonio Brown is joining the Oakland Raiders after a bitter divorce with the Pittsburgh Steelers. After Brown demanded a trade, the Steelers obliged with a deal with Oakland, according to Pro Football Talk. Pittsburgh will receive third- and fifth-round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The deal comes about 48 hours after a report late Thursday night that Brown was about to be traded to the Buffalo Bills. The receiver reportedly nixed that deal, and by Friday morning the Bills released a statement saying they “moved on.”
