The Eagles should trade Nick Foles to the Sixers

Everybody wins.

We know that Nick Foles won’t be returning to the Eagles in 2019. The team reportedly plans to trade him. Or Foles might end up walking in free agency. Either way, the 2018 Super Bowl MVP won’t be wearing midnight green next season.

But maybe Foles doesn’t have to leave Philadelphia entirely? I mean, why SHOULDN’T the Sixers acquire this guy?

There’s your stretch four next to Joel Embiid. Boom.

We all know Foles can hoop. He received Division I interest before he fully committed to college football. Connor Barwin once raved about Foles’ basketball skills:

“I remember playing basketball, and with a quarterback you never realize how explosive he is. And the Eagles had this summer basketball charity game. And me and a bunch of guys -- the first time, we were all blown away. He was just drop-step dunking on people. And I was like, ‘Where the hell did this come from?’ It’s not like he had a 40-inch vertical, but he could jump and he was just so long.”

Foles going to the Sixers would be great. He gets to stay in Philly and the Eagles don’t have to worry about him potentially joining a divisional rival.

The NBA trade deadline is this Thursday, February 7. Somebody set up a call for Howie Roseman and Elton Brand.
