Is Le’Veon Bell trying to tell us he wants to sign with the Eagles?

Pittsburgh Steelers v Philadelphia Eagles

Earlier this week, NFL insider Jason La Canfora suggested the Philadelphia Eagles could be among the teams involved in pursuing impending free agent running back Le’Veon Bell. If this cryptic tweet is any indication, Bell doesn’t seem so opposed to that idea.

Hmmm, indeed.

Note that this tweet from Bell was his first since an earlier one asking where he should go this offseason:

So, there you have it. Bell to the Eagles confirmed.

Okay, not exactly. This could easily all be nothing. That video that Bell tweeted out doesn’t even mention the Eagles. Also, Bell recently “liked” on a recruiting tweet from Jets safety Jamal Adams.

I’d guess Bell is just having some fun on social media.

Then again, Bell previously told ESPN he believes the Eagles would be interested in signing him as a free agent. Is that belief based on all those reports that Philly had interest in trading for him? Does Bell have an indication that the Eagles are interested in him? Or is he just trying to create a market for himself? Maybe all the above?

I don’t know.

I do know that I’d be surprised if the Eagles signed Bell this offseason. Philadelphia sorely needs to upgrade their backfield situation, no doubt, but I don’t see them investing serious money in the running back position when they’re already very limited on cap space.

Still, something to keep an eye on.

FIRST UPDATE: Chris Long replied to Le’Veon.

SECOND UPDATE: Malcolm Jenkins also likes the idea of bringing Bell to Philly.

THIRD UPDATE: Lane Johnson is using reverse psychology.

FOURTH UPDATE: Okay, now it’s real. Cre’Von LeBlanc is joining in.
