When we talk about prospects it’s important to focus on where they can do or how they win. That’s especially important when evaluating the most important position in the game.
For a quarterback, traits like mental processing both before and after the snap, arm talent, accuracy to all three levels of the field and so on should all be evaluated and understood to be able to project that prospect correctly. Those traits often combine to fit either a specific team or scheme or a number of them.
With that in mind, Mark Schofield joined me on The QB Scho Show #14 to break down who has the best tools in each of the critical factors that go into being successful at the position. Essentially, we did Build-A-Bear but for quarterbacks.
Here are some of the traits and abilities that we took to build our custom quarterback:
Mental Processing Pre-Snap: Dwayne Haskins, Ohio State
Mental Processing Post-Snap: Brett Rypien, Boise State
Velocity: Drew Lock, Missouri
Off-Platform: Kyler Murray, Oklahoma
But those are just words. We need to see what this monstrosity looks like, right? Well, here’s what it would look like.

I feel like in a down year, this is a solid representation of the quarterback class. Convince me otherwise. Think you can build a better or more attractive quarterback? I dare you to try.
