Lane Johnson Injury: Eagles’ right tackle carted to locker room with ankle injury

With four minutes left in the first half against the Giants, Eagles’ tackle Lane Johnson got rolled up on by Carson Wentz and was in some serious pain following the play. Johnson’s left leg got caught up under Wentz as the QB was sacked.

Johnson was able to walk off the field (with help) and went into the medical tent on the sideline before being carted to the locker room.

His injury came just minutes after Alshon Jeffery was carted to the locker room with a foot injury — as if this Eagles’ team hasn’t suffered enough injuries up to this point.

This is the second time this season that Johnson has been injured, with both Halapoulivaati Vaitai and rookie Andre Dillard filling in for him earlier this season. Dillard taking snaps as a tackle on the other side of the line didn’t go so great, and really, any time Lane Johnson is out the offense suffers.

The Eagles currently have Vaitai in the game at right tackle in place of Johnson.
