Before the fourteenth Sunday of the 2019 NFL regular season kicks off, let’s have some fun by taking a look at the spreads for the Week 14 games. You can CLICK HERE for straight up NFL picks without regard to the spread. You can find all of the NFL betting lines via DraftKings SportsBook.
My overall record so far is 91-97-5 after going 5-11 last week (ugh) and 0-1 on this week’s Thursday night game. I’m still doing better than the collective BGN community, which is 85-103-5 so far.
NFL WEEK 14 GAMES
BALTIMORE RAVENS (-6) at BUFFALO BILLS: The Bills are tougher than some have given them credit for. They also have a rest advantage in this matchup after last playing on Thanksgiving. But the Ravens are red hot with Lamar Jackson and I can’t help but think about how Philly’s rushing attack previously bullied the Bills in Buffalo. It’s tempting to take the points but I have to imagine the Ravens can run on this team. PICK: Ravens -6

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (-2.5): The Saints are being disrespected here; they shouldn’t be less than standard 3-point home favorites. New Orleans is coming off extra rest and Sean Payton will have his team ready for such an important game that could essentially secure the No. 1 seed. PICK: Saints -2.5

CINCINNATI BENGALS at CLEVELAND BROWNS (-7): The Bengals finally won a game but this Browns team (14th in DVOA) is a slightly better opponent than last week (NYJ 28th in DVOA). PICK: Browns -7

WASHINGTON at GREEN BAY PACKERS (-13.5): Aaron Rodgers over Dwayne Haskins is a huge mismatch but Washington can neutralize that to some extent by relying on their ground game. Green Bay’s defense is vulnerable against the run and Washington isn’t checked out on the season since they’re still alive in the NFC East. I’ll take the points. PICK: Washington +13.5

DETROIT LIONS at MINNESOTA VIKINGS (-12.5): You can always count on Kirk Cousins to beat up on bad teams. The Lions aren’t threatening anybody with third string quarterback David Blough under center. PICK: Vikings -12.5

CAROLINA PANTHERS at ATLANTA FALCONS (-3.5): Kinda weird how the 3-9 Falcons are significantly favored over a 5-7 Panthers team that just blew out Atlanta by a score of 29 to 3 a few weeks ago. I like the Falcons to win but this could still be a close game so I’ll take the points. PICK: Panthers +3.5

MIAMI DOLPHINS at NEW YORK JETS (-5): The Jets are coming off a blowout loss to a previously winless team. They also lost in Miami last month. The Dolphins have been fighting hard lately; they’re not just going to lay down and die. Hard not to like the points. PICK: Dolphins +5

NEW YORK GIANTS at PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (-9): The Eagles are getting way too much respect for a team that’s lose three games in a row ... and most recently to Miami. And yet the Giants have lost eight in a row and are now starting a washed up, soon-to-be 39-year-old at quarterback. For as bad as the Eagles are, they always own the Giants.
