Eagles Injury Report: Nelson Agholor among three players to miss practice for second day in a row

Another roster move coming at WR?

The Philadelphia Eagles issued their second official injury report on Friday in advance of their Week 14 Monday Night Football game against the New York Giants.

Friday’s injury report is identical to Thursday’s version.

This means that Nelson Agholor, Derek Barnett, and Kamu Grugier-Hill DID NOT PARTICIPATE in practice for the second day in a row.

The Eagles currently only have three “healthy” receivers on the 53-man roster: Alshon Jeffery, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, and Greg Ward. If Agholor can’t play, the team could look to promote one of their three practice squad receivers: Marken Michel (re-signed earlier this week), Robert Davis, or Marcus Green.

Barnett missing Monday’s game would mean increased playing time for Josh Sweat and/or Vinny Curry. Maybe Genard Avery will play more than a couple snaps as well.

Grugier-Hill’s potential absence means Nigel Bradham and Nathan Gerry will see most of the linebacker snaps. T.J. Edwards is the third linebacker behind them.

Jordan Howard was LIMITED for the second day in a row.

It seems unlikely that Howard is going to play considering as of Thursday he still hadn’t been cleared for contact. The Eagles could really use him back healthy as they try to win the NFC East down the stretch.

UPDATE: The Eagles announced Lane Johnson missed Friday’s practice due to personal reasons. He’s not expected to miss Monday’s game.

We’ll learn more abut the team’s injury situation when they put out their third and final injury report on Saturday.

NEW YORK GIANTS INJURY REPORT (FRIDAY)

Daniel Jones missed practice again so Eli Manning is very much on pace to start at quarterback against the Eagles.

Starting safety Jabrill Peppers missed practice for the second day in a row. Looks like New York’s vulnerable secondary will be without him. Significant absence.

Rookie cornerback Corey Ballentine was downgraded to ‘did not participate’ after being limited on Thursday. More injuries in the secondary.

The Giants’ top two tight ends are banged up with Rhett Ellison missing practice again and Evan Engram still limited.

Starting left tackle Nate Solder and starting wide receiver Golden Tate are on pace to play this week.
