The Dolphins claimed Hollins off waivers following the Eagles’ decision to waive their third-year wide receiver on Tuesday afternoon. It’s worth noting that Miami is fourth in the waiver wire order.
Taking a shot on Hollins makes sense for the Dolphins. They’re a rebuilding team and he was only a fourth-round pick a few years ago. It can’t hurt for them to take a flyer on him. Hollins did show some potential as a rookie back in 2017.
But perhaps Hollins will struggle to produce in Miami just like he did in Philly. And maybe the Dolphins will find themselves moving on from him in the future.
It’ll be interesting to see how it goes for Hollins at his new NFL home.
