The Philadelphia Eagles got everyone a great holiday gift this year by beating the Dallas Cowboys. It’s not Merry Clinchmas just yet; there’s still work to be done in Week 17. But before we fully get to this week’s New York Giants preview, Jimmy Kempski and I wanted to take the time to record a BGN Radio podcast about the Eagles’ win over Dallas. We’re splitting our usual one episode into two different parts this week due to the holiday schedule so be on the lookout for a Giants preview later this week. SHOW TOPICS
Special guest Krista Kempski joins the show!
- Recap of her past prediction powers
- Eagles vs. Giants pick
- Who does she think the Eagles will play in the first round of the Vikings, 49ers, and Seahawks, and why? [UPDATE: The Eagles can no longer play the Viking in the first round with Minnesota losing on Monday night.]
- Who will win the Eagles’ first playoff game (if they actually clinch the NFC East)?
- Christmas gift desires
Eagles vs. Cowboys takeaways
- Third straight win in which Carson Wentz played extremely well in the fourth quarter. Too bad he’s not clutch.
- Individual players: Miles Sanders is a stud, receivers involved early, Dallas Goedert steps up, Zach Ertz plays through pain
- Is this slow, plodding offense actually sustainable after all?
- Eagles’ defense shut down Zeke for the first time, though a little lucky on the back end with Dak Prescott being inaccurate, and a lot of drops
- Fresh batch of injuries
- Gauging concern level with new worries: Jake Elliott, cornerback situation, pass rush?
- The Cowboys’ issues going forward, if they don’t win the division: Jason Garrett fired, new head coach search, Dak/Amari contract stand-offs.
- Another special guest join the podcast late in the show
- Final thoughts and more! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Happy Holidays, etc.
Reminder: Since we had to create an entirely new podcast feed, we could really use your support. We kindly ask that you SUBSCRIBE, RATE, and REVIEW! Doing so helps us accomplish cool things like becoming a top five podcast in the Apple Podcast store. And that helps us reach more Eagles fans out there in the world!
