The Philadelphia Eagles issued their third and final official injury report on Friday in advance of their Week 16 game against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Eagles ruled one player OUT: starting right tackle Lane Johnson.
Johnson has been out of commission ever since suffering an ankle injury in Week 15. His absence means Halapoulivaati Vaitai will get the start against Demarcus Lawrence. Big V has stepped up for the Eagles in the past; they’ll really need him to come up big again here.
The Eagles ruled four players QUESTIONABLE: starting running back Jordan Howard, starting wide receiver Nelson Agholor, starting defensive end Derek Barnett, and starting nickel cornerback Avonte Maddox.
Howard was limited all week just like he’s been ever since picking up his shoulder injury back on November 3. There’s no indication he’s been cleared for contact so one would assume he’ll be out again. Miles Sanders and Boston Scott will be the Eagles’ primary two backs. Jay Ajayi might only get playing time if there’s an injury to one of Sanders or Scott.
Agholor didn’t practice at all this week and his knee reportedly looks pretty swollen. So, one would assume he’ll be out. The Eagles have just three other receivers on the 53-man roster: Greg Ward, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, and Robert Davis. That trio has combined for 27 career NFL receptions.
Barnett was limited in Friday’s practice so it seems like he might actually have a shot to play against Dallas.
Maddox is an entirely new addition to the report after seemingly picking up a knee injury during Friday’s practice. This marks the second week in a row where a starting Eagles corner got banged up in a Friday practice. What’s the deal? Maddox missing Sunday’s game would mean more playing time for Cre’Von LeBlanc.
Brandon Brooks, Fletcher Cox, and Ronald Darby were all full go on Friday after being limited earlier in the week. They’ll be starting.
Arcega-Whiteside is going to play despite being limited on Thursday and Friday due to a foot injury. The Eagles have three inexperienced receivers and one of them is playing at less than 100%. Cool.

DALLAS COWBOYS INJURY REPORT (FRIDAY)
The big news is that Dak Prescott isn’t listed with an injury designation despite being limited and not throwing much in practice this week. He’ll start on Sunday, as expected. It still remains to be seen if his effectiveness will be hindered at all.
Starting linebacker Leighton Vander Esch is out, as expected.
Special teams contributor C.J. Goodwin is questionable after missing two days and then being limited on Friday. Same deal for reserve linebacker Joe Thomas. Devin Smith is typically a healthy scratch anyway but he’s questionable.
