The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their 2019 NFL Week 15 game against the Washington Redskins.
The following seven Eagles players have been ruled INACTIVE: Jordan Howard, Nelson Agholor, Derek Barnett, Lane Johnson, Shareef Miller, Nate Sudfeld, and Sua Opeta.
Ronald Darby is notably ACTIVE despite being ruled questionable on the final injury report.
Howard, Agholor, Barnett, and Johnson were all ruled out on the final injury report.
Howard’s absence means the Eagles have Miles Sanders, Boston Scott, and Jay Ajayi active at running back. Sanders figures to see the bulk of snaps while Scott certainly deserves a role after last week’s performance. Ajayi doesn’t warrant playing time right now.
Agholor being out leaves the Eagles with three true wide receivers: JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Greg Ward, and Robert Davis. Davis is active for his first game with the Eagles after being promoted from the practice squad earlier this week. The Eagles also use third string tight end Joshua Perkins as a receiver; he lined up in the slot against the New York Giants. The Eagles are playing with fire because if they suffer multiple receiver injuries once again they might actually be down to having 40-year-old backup quarterback Josh McCown running routes for them.
No Barnett means Vinny Curry will start across from Brandon Graham. Josh Sweat will also see a decent chunk of playing time off the bench while Daeshon Hall figures to have a smaller role as the fourth defensive end. Who knows if Genard Avery will even get any playing time.
Johnson being out means Halapoulivaati Vaitai will start at right tackle.
Miller, Sudfeld, and Opeta are all healthy scratches.
Nate Herbig is active for the first time in his NFL career!
