NFL Picks Against the Spread: Week 15 Games

Here are some suggestions when trying to beat the odds.

NFL: DEC 09 Giants at Eagles

Before the fifteenth Sunday of the 2019 NFL regular season kicks off, let’s have some fun by taking a look at the spreads for the Week 15 games. You can CLICK HERE for straight up NFL picks without regard to the spread. You can find all of the NFL betting lines via DraftKings SportsBook.

My overall record so far is 100-104-5 after going 9-7 last week and 0-1 on this week’s Thursday night game. I’m still doing better than the collective BGN community, which is 97-107-5 so far.

NFL WEEK 15 GAMES

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (-10) at CINCINNATI BENGALS: Should be an easy win for the Pats considering they’ll know what plays the Bengals are calling. PICK: Patriots -10

DENVER BRONCOS at KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (-10): The Chiefs will win but the Broncos will at least make this game competitive. PICK: Broncos +10

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (-6) at CAROLINA PANTHERS: Kyle Allen has a 78.5 passer rating during the Panthers’ five game losing streak. Thanks, but no thanks, I’ll stick with Russell Wilson. Seattle is poised to bounce back. They’ve handled 1:00 PM East Coast starts better than you would expect from a West Coast team. PICK: Seahawks -6

CHICAGO BEARS at GREEN BAY PACKERS (-4): Mitchell Trubisky has been playing better (?!) but I’ll still stick with an Aaron Rodgers who’s thrown 15 touchdowns and zero interceptions in his last seven games. The pressure is on the Packers to maintain a top two seed. PICK: Packers -4

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (-6.5) at WASHINGTON: I have the Eagles winning this game by eight points so I’ll have to take them to cover here. But I liked this bet more when it was at 4.5 earlier this week; the points are more tempting now. The Eagles are heading to Landover with a short-handed offense against a Washington defense that’s allowed an average of just 19 points in their last three games. Dwayne Haskins’ struggles should ultimately allow the Eagles to win this game. PICK: Eagles -6.5

HOUSTON TEXANS at TENNESSEE TITANS (-3): Can’t shake that the Texans have had fraud vibes going back to last season. Ryan Tannehill is playing at a very high level right now. Why bet against him at home? PICK: Titans -3

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (-5.5) at DETROIT LIONS: It’s difficult to count on the Bucs given that Jameis Winston is a turnover machine and their defense is entirely shreddable. But even a struggling Winston is better than David Blough. Bruce Arians is also leaps and bounds better than Matt Patricia. PICK: Buccaneers -5.5

MIAMI DOLPHINS at NEW YORK GIANTS (-4): Eli Manning led the Giants to 29 yards during the second half he played in Week 14. Dude is washed. For what the Dolphins lack in talent, they’ve been able to make up for recently with effort. I like betting on Brian Flores much more than I do a lame duck Pat Shurmur. Especially with the Dolphins actually getting points in this scenario. PICK: Dolphins +4

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS at OAKLAND RAIDERS (-6.5): The Jaguars haven’t just been losing; they’ve been getting blown out at a historical pace. And yet Oakland being No. 31 in defensive DVOA and bottom five in point differential makes me think the Jags can somehow keep it close in a loss. PICK: Jaguars +6.5

MINNESOTA VIKINGS (-1.5) at LOS ANGELES CHARGERS: It’s really not difficult to envision Kirk Cousins choking his way out of the playoffs for the second year in a row. The Chargers have nothing to play for but Cousins has lost to teams that could’ve said the same in the past. Let’s go with the home dogs. PICK: Chargers +1.5

CLEVELAND BROWNS (-3) at ARIZONA CARDINALS: The Cards sure aren’t good but I just don’t really trust the Browns in this spot. I think they have it in them to lose in Arizona. Kyler Murray is bound for a big game here at some point. PICK: Cardinals +3

LOS ANGELES RAMS (-1) at DALLAS COWBOYS: The Cowboys look like a team that’s not playing very inspired for a head coach they know is going to get fired. The Rams, meanwhile, are looking like a team that actually wants to make the playoffs. The pressure is on LA to keep winning to have a chance at a wild card spot in the NFC playoff picture. They need this game more than Dallas does. PICK: Rams -1

ATLANTA FALCONS at SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (-10.5): The Falcons have been fighting hard for Dan Quinn but that won’t be enough here. Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers are going to shred his former team. How could you bet against the 49ers right now? PICK: 49ers -10.5

BUFFALO BILLS at PITTSBURGH STEELERS (-1): It’s easy to underestimate the Steelers but they’ve been fighting their butts off. The Bills are certainly above average but they’ve come up short against more quality opponents. Mike Tomlin’s just doing a great job with this Steelers squad. PICK: Steelers -1

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (-9): The Saints are going to take out their frustrations from losing at home last weekend out on a wounded Colts team that’s lost three straight games. Should be a comfortable win for New Orleans. PICK: Saints -9
