Keep or Kill?

As with last week, I'm going to say who the Eagles should Keep, or give more playing time, or Kill, which could mean less playing time or just decide to get rid of. Last week, the keepers were Miles Sanders, Alshon Jeffery, Greg Ward Jr, Malcolm Jenkins, and Jake Elliott. As for the players on the kill side, Carson Wentz, Nelson Agholor, JJAW, Sidney Jones, and Genard Avery. Let's see who's who this week.

Keep

Zach Ertz

One of the top players in his position has proven time and time again why he is one of the best. Last week I kept him off this list because he was injured and didn't perform well. Last night was his fourth time in five weeks with at least 9 receptions and 90 yards. In this span, he also has four of his five touchdowns on the season, with one helping tie the game, and the other giving the Eagles the win. Ertz is signed through 2021 giving the Eagles a safety net when it comes to holding on to him, definitely someone you want if you're in a rebuild.

Boston Scott

Yet another practice squad player steps up as Brandon Lee Gowton stated. Although this was his first game where he stood out, he has shown a lot of promise earlier in the season. Against the Giants, Scott had his first meaningful touchdown, with his only other coming in a blowout loss to the Cowboys. Scott was also the Eagles second leading receiver, behind only Ertz, catching every ball that came his way for 69 yards. I'm not saying that Scott should be a starter all of a sudden, he should just continue to see the field throughout the remainder of the season.

Jason Kelce

The last player on this part of the list is a part of the o-line. Kelce was the voice of the team this week and backed his talk with an Eagles win. He has been the glue to this line playing every snap. Good job.

Kill

Jay Ajayi

The J-Train just hasn't been what he used to be. In his three games hes has 10 carries for a measly 30 yards. In a backfield that's crowded with Sanders, Scott, and Howard, they do that in less than a game. This does not bode well for Ajayi in the future. He just doesn't contribute anymore. Verdict: Out at seasons end.

Ronald Darby

All the comments said he should go, I've given him a week and I agree. First he gets burned by Davante Parker, then he gets burned by Darius Slayton. One for the Dolphins and the other for the Giants, they aren't very good teams, they suck, but so does Darby if he makes them look good. He hasn't made a big impact with few tackles and interceptions, the things he's supposed to do. Verdict: Trade him away for the best you can get.

Fletcher Cox

It pains me to do this to him. He was so good in the past and it's clear that his injury is still bothering him. He just hasn't been as explosive as in years past with only 3.5 sacks. The one high point on the struggling season is that he has 2 forced fumbles, one shy of his career best for a season. He needs a spark and fast if the Eagles are going to make a push to the playoffs. Verdict: Play it by ear, watch how he plays in the future.

It was a little shorter this week, if you have any comments of who you think should be on which list, I'll tell you my opinion and let you know what I think.
