Zach Ertz is ACTIVE for Eagles vs. Dolphins

The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their 2019 NFL Week 13 game against the Miami Dolphins.

The following seven Eagles players have been ruled INACTIVE: Jordan Howard, Sidney Jones, Nate Sudfeld, Daeshon Hall, Shareef Miller, Matt Pryor, and Nate Herbig,

This means Eagles starting tight end and leading receiver Zach Ertz is ACTIVE. It was previously reported he intends to play through his hamstring injury. We’ll see if Ertz’s playing time is limited at all. The Eagles do have Dallas Goedert and Joshua Perkins behind him on the depth chart. Perkins is active for the first time this season after being called up from the practice squad on Saturday.

Howard is missing his third game in a row due to a shoulder injury. The following three running backs are active: Miles Sanders, Jay Ajayi, and Boston Scott. Sanders figures to get a bulk of the touches while Ajayi could have a smaller role.

Jones is a healthy scratch for the second time this season. The 2017 second-round pick is clearly the seventh cornerback on Philadelphia’s roster now that Cre’Von LeBlanc is back from injured reserve. LeBlanc’s playing in his first game since the Eagles’ Divisonal Round playoff loss to the New Orleans Saints, by the way.

Sudfeld, Hall, Miller, Pryor, and Herbig are all also healthy scratches. Pryor’s inclusion is notable since he was forced into playing time last week. The Eagles are going with Andre Dillard and Halapoulivaati Vaitai as their only backup offensive linemen.

Nelson Agholor and Alshon Jeffery are back this week, as expected. Jeffery had been out since getting hurt in Week 9 while Agholor missed last week’s game. Jeffery, Agholor, and JJ Arcega-Whiteside figure to be the Eagles’ starters in 11 personnel. Doug Pederson said Greg Ward will still have a role in the offense as well.

Lane Johnson is back starting at right tackle after missing Week 12 due to a concussion.

QB Nate Sudfeld - Third quarterback.

DE Daeshon Hall - Sixth defensive end.

DE Shareef Miller - Seventh defensive end.

OL Matt Pryor - Eighth offensive lineman.

OL Nate Herbig - Ninth offensive lineman.

Miami Dolphins Inactive List

The Dolphins will be without safety Steven Parker and cornerback Ken Crawley, who both started against the Browns last week. Injuries are keeping them out of this week’s game. The Eagles really need to take advantage of this vulnerable Miami secondary.
