In the NFL it’s all about the quarterback. It garners the most debate, grabs the most attention, and is the driving force behind the most successful teams. If you don’t have one, you’re screwed. The Philadelphia Eagles’ have one in Carson Wentz - we think - but his recent play has sent the fan base’s confidence level into a tailspin.

How much is on the quarterback, coaching, and supporting cast in Philadelphia is a debate that’s nothing but spinning wheels. They’re all struggling right now, which might be worse than there being one, singular problem. Play with the blame percentages all you like, it doesn’t matter when there aren’t many plays on film where design, quarterback, receivers, and/or protection don’t break down. Sometimes all four factors fall apart in a single play, which happened a handful of times against the Seahawks.

We break down Wentz’s performance and the offense from Week 12 on The QB Scho Show #42 and try to figure out what it all means moving forward. There’s also a preview of Miami Dolphins’ quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick included.

My co-host Mark Schofield was kind enough to throw together a video of a concept the Eagles’ ran ad nauseam on Sunday. Seeing as the quarterback position is the most talked about and least understood position in all of sports, check it out and learn a little something about the offense and quarterback you watch on Sundays.
