Before the twelfth Sunday of the 2019 NFL regular season kicks off, let’s have some fun by taking a look at the spreads for the Week 12 games. You can CLICK HERE for straight up NFL picks without regard to the spread. You can find all of the NFL betting lines via DraftKings SportsBook.
My overall record so far is 81-77-5 after going 7-7 last week and correctly predicting this week’s TNF game. I’m still doing better than the collective BGN community, which is 75-83-5 so far.
NFL WEEK 12 GAMES
MIAMI DOLPHINS at CLEVELAND BROWNS (-10.5): The Dolphins are bad and tanking, sure, but since when did the Browns become good enough to where they deserve this kind of respect? The Browns will win but I don’t have immense confidence in them covering this spread. PICK: Dolphins +10.5

DENVER BRONCOS at BUFFALO BILLS (-4): The Broncos actually outrank the Bills in DVOA, 18th to 25. Buffalo is definitely a fake good team but I like them at home with Denver playing their second road game in a row. PICK: Bills -4

OAKLAND RAIDERS (-4) at NEW YORK JETS: There’s reason to like the points here with the Raiders playing at 1:00 PM start time and the Jets winning their last two games. But, to Jon Gruden’s credit, Oakland kind of just looks like a solid team right now. The Raiders are 11th overall in DVOA while the Jets are 28th I’m not about to put my faith in Adam Gase. PICK: Raiders -4

PITTSBURGH STEELERS (-6.5) at CINCINNATI BENGALS: The Stillers are coming off extra rest having played on Thursday Night Football in Week 11. Pittsburgh beat Cincy easily last time these two teams played and that should be no different against a Bengals team that’s starting an even worse quarterback now. PICK: Steelers -6.5

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS at PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (-1.5): The 1:00 PM road start time shouldn’t faze the Seahawks too badly; they’re 5-0 in their last five 1:00 PM road starts. Russell Wilson’s 3-0 record against the Eagles is also relevant because he’s a bad matchup for their defense. Wilson’s mobility can neutralize the advantage that the Eagles have over Seattle in the trenches. It’s hard to count on the Eagles’ garbage offense outpacing Wilson’s production. PICK: Seahawks +1.5

CAROLINA PANTHERS at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (-10): Kyle Allen has three touchdowns and 10 turnovers in his last four starts. I don’t think I’ll be counting on him to make this a competitive game at the Superdome.

NEW YORK GIANTS at CHICAGO BEARS (-6): The Giants stink. Daniel Jones is a turnover machine and Pat Shurmur is a bad coach. And yet, I kinda like the G-Men here coming off their bye. I’d rather place my trust in Jones to make this game competitive than Mitchell Trubisky to make this game not too competitive. PICK: Giants +6

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS at ATLANTA FALCONS (-3.5): The rejuvenated Falcons are coming off back-to-back blowout road wins over New Orleans and Carolina. Quality stuff. Atlanta should make it three wins in a row as they face an entirely shreddable Tampa Bay defense. Jameis Winston accounting for 22 combined interceptions and fumbles in his last five starts is kind of a problem for the Bucs. PICK: Falcons -3.5

DETROIT LIONS (-3.5) at WASHINGTON: Jeff Driskel hasn’t been that bad while filling in for Matthew Stafford. He’s certainly good enough for the Lions to beat an awful Washington team. Can’t possibly bet on Dwayne Haskins considering how he’s looked totally lost thus far. PICK: Lions -3.5

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS at TENNESSEE TITANS (-3.5): Who am I to bet against Nick Foles? It didn’t work out last week but he’s at his most dangerous when he’s doubted. Besides, it’s hard to ever know what to make of his inconsistent Titans team. The points are the tempting play. PICK: Jaguars +3.5

DALLAS COWBOYS at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (-6.5): There’s a 100% chance the Cowboys are winning this game outright. It’s just fitting for how this season is going for Philly. Tom Brady looked kinda washed last week and now he’s on the injury report with a shoulder issue. The Cowboys’ offense has enough juice to score on the Pats’ defense. Even if you don’t like Dallas to win, you have to love the points here. PICK: Cowboys +6.5

GREEN BAY PACKERS at SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (-3): In the battle of two of the NFC’s top teams, give me Aaron Rodgers over Jimmy Garoppolo. Rodgers has logged 12 total touchdowns to just one interception in his last five starts while Jimmy G has accounted for 11 touchdowns to eight combined picks and fumbles. PICK: Packers +3

BALTIMORE RAVENS (-3.5) at LOS ANGELES RAMS: The home dog points are a little tempting because it feels like the Ravens could be primed for a letdown at some point. But it would go against everything I believe to take the cowardly Sean McVay over the brave John Harbaugh. Not to mention the gap between Lamar Jackson and Jared Goff. PICK: Ravens -3.5
