I really don’t know what to expect for today’s Philadelphia Eagles versus New England Patriots game.
I don’t think there’s an outcome that would totally shock me. I can see the cases for both optimism and pessimism in this one.
It’s hard to look at what little the Eagles are working with on offense and feel great about the Birds having much success against this top ranked Patriots defense.
But maybe the Eagles can dominate in the trenches — not unlike they did when they last beat the Patriots in Super Bowl LII — and pull off the upset.
Again, I’d be lying if I said I had a great feel here. The Eagles could get embarrassed, just like they did when they faced the Minnesota Vikings and the Dallas Cowboys several weeks ago. The Eagles could also pull out an unexpected win, just like they did when they beat the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
I guess it’s only fitting for me to go with the most unexpected result and say these teams will tie.
