Eagles vs. Patriots Final Injury Report: Alshon Jeffery out, Jordan Howard questionable

The Philadelphia Eagles issued their third and final official injury report on Friday in advance of their Week 11 game against the New England Patriots.

The following players have been ruled OUT: Alshon Jeffery, Nigel Bradham, and Darren Sproles. Neither Jeffery nor Bradham participated in practice this week.

Jeffery’s absence means the Eagles will be down to just Nelson Agholor, Jordan Matthews, Mack Hollins, and JJ Arcega-Whiteside at wide receiver. It remains to be seen how the playing time will be split up at this spot. JMatt should have some kind of role ... but will the Eagles also look to get JJAW more involved, as they should? In any case, two tight end sets figure to be critical in this matchup given the uninspiring group of receivers Carson Wentz is working with.

Bradham will miss his fourth straight game on Sunday. The Eagles will once again be starting Nathan Gerry in his place. Kamu Grugier-Hill and T.J. Edwards will also see playing time at linebacker.

The Eagles confirmed Sproles’ season is over so it’s only a matter of time until he’s officially placed on injured reserve.

Only one player has been ruled QUESTIONABLE: Jordan Howard.

Howard’s status is critical since the Eagles really need to rely on running the ball effectively to win games. As of Friday morning, Doug Pederson said Howard hasn’t been cleared for contact as he recovers from a shoulder injury. Not a great sign. Between Howard and Jeffery potentially missing this week’s game, it’s not easy to feel amazing about the Eagles’ chances of beating the league’s top defense.

Jason Peters is poised return to the starting lineup this week for the first time since getting hurt in Week 6. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice after being limited on Wednesday and Thursday. Andre Dillard will head back to the bench, for now.

Rodney McLeod was limited in Friday’s practice due to a shoulder issue but he’s not listed with a status for Sunday’s game, so he’ll play.

Note that Eagles cornerback Cre’Von LeBlanc has been eligible to be activated from injured reserve since Week 9. It’s just a matter of when he’s healthy enough to practice.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS INJURY REPORT (FRIDAY)

Starting safety Patrick Chung, starting tight end Matt LaCosse, and starting defensive lineman Danny Shelton were limited in practice all week. Starting defensive lineman John Simon was limited the past two days.

Punt/kick returner Gunner Olszewski and depth running back Damien Harris are new additions to Friday’s injury report.
