Now that the NFL Week 5 early games are over, it’s time for the late game slate.
There are actually only two starts in the 4:00 PM Eastern hour today: Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers and Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys. One of those two games happens to hold a lot more interest to the Philadelphia Eagles than the other. It also happens to be the one that’s nationally televised.
Here’s what we wrote for BGN’s rooting guide:
GREEN BAY PACKERS at DALLAS COWBOYS: You’d really just hate to see the Cowboys lose their second straight game and fall to 3-2. They’d have the same record as the Eagles at that point if Philly can take care of the Jets. A Packers win would also help the Eagles’ common games and strength of victory tie-breakers. Unfortunately, there’s zero chance Dallas drops this game. Root for the Packers.
Aaron Rodgers has played well against the Cowboys in the past. Maybe he can help out the Eagles once again today.
