Eagles put out video of Orlando Scandrick praising Malcolm Jenkins’ leadership ability

Oh damn.

Former Eagles cornerback Orlando Scandrick called out Malcolm Jenkins’ leadership — among other things — earlier today. Jenkins responded through the media.

And now we have the Eagles backing up their defensive captain.

The team’s official Twitter account tweeted the following video on Friday afternoon:

For context, this play shows Jenkins hustling and forcing a fumble with the Eagles down 18 points to the Minnesota Vikings with 1:48 remaining in regulation. It also shows Scandrick saying the following:

“That’s exactly why you the captain of this defense bro, the way that you f***cking conduct yourself, first snap to the last.”

Wow. It’s not every day that you see a team come out and shade a former player like this.

UPDATE: Jenkins weighed in via his Twitter account.

Eagles senior vice president of communications and community affairs Brandon Boone also tweeted this:

Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time Scandrick contradicted himself. Let’s look back at what he had to say about the Eagles after they lost to the Dallas Cowboys this past Sunday:

Once again, Scandrick made some valid points in what he had to say about the Eagles. But some of the things were clearly off base and clearly motivated by being very bitter.
