Orlando Scandrick took some shots at his former Philadelphia Eagles teammates on Friday morning, including defensive captain and starting safety Malcolm Jenkins. Now it’s Jenkins who is firing back:
More from Malcolm Jenkins on Orlando Scandrick: “For us to move on as a team, we can’t have motherfuckers like that in the room.” https://t.co/wMZfMc4qSc

Malcolm: "How long was he here?"

Three weeks.
"I don't think that's long enough to know our team."
Some of the things that Scandrick said about Jenkins just weren’t true.
For example, Scandrick suggested that Jenkins didn’t take responsibility for blowing a coverage in the Eagles’ Week 7 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. But he absolutely did.
Malcolm Jenkins took the blame for this TD after the game. He said he vacated the middle of the field

Jenkins has a track record of taking blame when he’s at fault. He took responsibility when he blew a coverage on the first play of the Eagles’ game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2 last season (DeSean Jackson touchdown).
Scandrick’s assertion that Jenkins isn’t “really making any plays, like splash plays” is also absurd. Jenkins had a big pass breakup and an even bigger blocked field goal against the Lions in Week 3 that should’ve allowed the Eagles to win that game.
It’s no surprise that Jenkins wasn’t too fond of Scandrick’s comments. There could be some truth to some of the things that Scandrick said. But some of it was simply off base.
Just another drama-free week heading into a game that the Eagles really need to win!
